What is nirvana? In the Buddhist path, nirvana is a state of perfect peace, harmony and happiness with the world. It is reaching the highest state one can attain; enlightenment. Through meditation and the teachings of Buddha, we can release the things that causes us to suffer on earth including cravings, greed, jealousy and hatred.

Practice sitting in silence everyday. Sit tall, close your eyes, unclench your jaw and relax your shoulders. Start to focus on your breath. Inhaling and exhaling through your nose. Let go of all your expectations of what meditation is, let go of your worries, of any negative energy lingering and weighing you down. Keep breathing for a few rounds. When you are ready, start to slowly open your eyes. Notice the difference in how you feel now as opposed as how you started. Carry this lightness within you and make it a priority to sit in silence everyday.
